Christmas Day!

Christmas was a very nice, semi-relaxing day. I really enjoy spending time with my family because we always have fun chatting and playing games. On Christmas Eve we always watch a White Christmas with Cole's family, which we all LOVE! And on Christmas night we went to my parents for dinner and presents.

we both wore plaid ha ha

My nieces and nephews getting ready to open their presents! They were SO excited!

My sister in law Alexis with their cute baby Bridger

You know your nephew is getting old when his favorite toy was a mp3 player :)

Cole and Avery playin'.. they are little buddies

Sabrina is doing so good crawling EVERYWHERE! I love her crazy curly hair :)

This picture is a miracle.. they are all sitting still (somewhat) and looking at the camera long enough for us to get a decent picture!

We had a great Christmas! Hopefully everyone else did too :)

The Lights and Coles Birthday

Cole's birthday was the 18th and he said he wanted to go to dinner and see the lights for his birthday. So Friday the day before his birthday we headed down to Salt Lake to see the lights at temple square. Even though the lights are the same every year they are still amazing! Hopefully everyone gets a chance to go and see the lights!

New JOB

I am sure you all remember that I have been looking for a full time job for a little while. A couple weeks ago I interviewed with three different places and I was really hoping SOMETHING would happen with one of them! Finally I got offered a job with the Civilian Health Promotions Services on Hill Air Force Base and it just so happens to be the one I wanted THE most!! I did one of my internships on base at the Warrior Fitness center and did some things with CHPS. This job has the best benefits, pays the best, and most of all I get to work with people I already know like my lovely friend Jen that I graduated with! I start on Monday and I can't wait. I am happily saying goodbye to 3 part time jobs :)

HALLOWEEN

Okay so Halloween isn't Cole's favorite holiday, and he definitely isn't a fan of dressing up, BUT last year he promised we would dress up this year, but we had to plan ahead of time and not do it all last minute. So I agreed. I decided that he would be an 80's hair band member and I was going to dress up like Cyndi Lauper (in the 80's of course.. thought I would clarify that..some people didn't understand that..they obviously didn't know Cyndi in the 80's..haha) We didn't really go anywhere eventful. We did venture over to Weber State to check out their Halloween party but there was only like 50 people there, but I got to see a few friends so that was fun! We only stayed for about an hour.

I will never use that color hair spray again! It stunk SOOOO bad and I had to shampoo my hair a million times to get it out..

first of all I will admit I don't look great in this picture, but I wanted to document how funny Cole's outfit is! Look how skinny his legs are... I am jealous..

On Sunday we had a Halloween party at my parents. For Halloween my brother and his family dressed up like gangsters and flappers. Little Bridger was their money bag and they had to bring his costume and show us! This has to be the CUTEST costume I saw this year!

Ingrid Michaelson

Last week Cole and I went to the Ingrid Michaelson concert at In the Venue (yeah, I talked him into going!). I don't think Cole had any idea of who I was talking about when I asked him to go, but he was a really good trooper and actually enjoyed the concert! Anyways, the concert was AMAZING! The opening band was Guggenheim Grotto. They are from Ireland and they did a really good job, but the best part was Ingrid! She has an amazing voice and she is hilarious! She told a lot of funny stories about herself. If you want to see one of the best parts of the show click here.

Cole and I waiting in line in the HAIL!

We were pretty close to the stage, but my camera is horrible! It took us a while to get somewhat of a decent shot. (this is the opening band)

She did such a good job!

Once the concert was over we came out to a blizzard!

and we ran into my favorite sister in-law :) Alexis

Thank you Ingrid for a great show! :)

(thank you alexis for the last two pictures!)

I don't know if my sister would appreciate this..

BUT she is having a BABY!!!! YAY!! I am so excited for Megan and Justin to have a baby.. we have all been waiting for this moment since the day they got married (6 years ago) haha ;) jk. My older sister and bother have kids already, but it is different with Megan because we literally grew up together, and she is probably my closest sibling! So.. it is kind of weird! I love her and I KNOW she will be a great mom :) They will make beautiful babies and I can't wait to find out what they are having and what they will name her/him.

2 YeArS!

Today is our 2 year anniversary.. of dating..I know some of you probably think it is lame to celebrate the dating anniversary or never have celebrated it (not many people date long enough in utah to have dating anniversaries!), but I think it is a big deal! It seriously doesn't feel like it has been two years since Cole and I started dating. It feels like Cole just got home from his mission the other day. Anyways, I wanted to post about this (even though he never reads my blog). I want him to know that I love him SO much! He seriously is an amazing person and I can't imagine what my life would be like with out him :) He is my best friend!

FINALLY... The Derby!

I have always wanted to go to a demolition derby. I thought it sounded like so much fun, but I never knew when they were or no one would go with me until YESTERDAY! Cole and his brother Justin came to the demolition derby with me at the Davis County Fair and I must say I LOVED IT! They seriously are so much fun to watch the only bad part was the time we had to wait inbetween for them to pull the cars out of the arena... they took FOREVER! the main event was amazing! This one car climbed over two cars and still kept running. The second car he ran over lit on fire so that was pretty exciting too! I just had to take pictures because it was hilarious!

This is the first car he drove over

The second one he drove over that started on fire!

I definitely will be going to more of these :]

HeArT sUrGeRy and a NeW bAbY!

Okay so I am a little late on this but a couple weeks ago my family had a BUSY week! my niece Sabrina had heart surgery earlier in the week on Tuesday (which was a traumatic ordeal because she is only 1!) AND THEN my new little nephew felt it was time to come into this world on Thursday! My brother and his wife Alexis added another adorable kid to their family and named him Bridger. Sabrina, Bridger, and Alexis are doing really well! I am so glad that everything went well!

Here is Sabrina (sorry the lighting is weird, but my hand covered half the flash haha) she is doing wonderful!

Avery, Bridger, and Brogan! My brother's kids aren't they adorable?

Job Hunting Sucks...(I just need to vent)

Okay so I am sure you remember a while back when I posted about my job and how I love it. I still do love it, but its only part time and they can't give me anymore hours, I am to the max. I need a full time job though. For the last few months I've been applying and interviewing for various jobs, but haven't got any of them and its SO FRUSTRATING!:( I decided that looking for a job is the worst thing ever (atleast at this point in my life)...maybe it's just the field I am in..I don't know, but if anyone knows of a job opening in the Health Education field let me know it would be greatly appreciated :)

MOST embarrassing moment EVER to date...

Okay so I decided that it has been long enough since my run in with a tree to blog about it and laugh. ha ha In April I was headed to my sisters house when a bee (no joke) landed right by my face on my car window.. naturally.. I freak out and start to roll my window down so I can get it out of my car before it stings me or something! I flick at it and I missed! and then... BUMP BUMP next thing I know I am up the curb and headed toward someones landscaping! ugh.. I slammed on my breaks but I still hit a tree.. broke it clear off actually! OH MY you can't imagine how embarrassing it was for the home owner to come out and have to pull me out with his truck as his wife is taking pictures! I could have crawled right under that rock my car was high centered on and died. Long story short.. the price to fix everything was more than what my car was worth, but my brother helped me sell my car and I got a NEW ONE!!! Here is a picture of the newbie. I am pretty much in love with my car and it is so nice to drive a new car, but I am not so excited about the new bills I will be paying. I am sure it will be worth it right?!

Oregon Coast

My sister Megan and her husband Justin invited Cole and I to come on a little road trip with them to the Oregon Coast. My family has gone to oregon a few times and we ALWAYS end up having a good time so I was way excited to go! If you have never been there you have to go! It is beautiful there! Here are some pictures from our vacation.

The 1st day we got to the coast we went to the Aquarium in Newport.

We went to Newport beach and watched the kite festival and just played around. It was SO beautiful!

We then went to Florence, went and had some AMAzing seafood and we hit the beach for sunset :)

Went to the tide pools and looked at starfish and anenomes.

and then we just had to get a picture of the light house

I ended up LOVING IT! yeah my body was a little haggard afterwards, but it was SO worth it I think I just might do another one :) Cole finished the race in 1 hour and 35 minutes and placed 4th in his age group! I obviously took longer.. I finished in 2 hours and 4 minutes and placed 3rd in my age group! Here are a few more pictures.
