A little Late..

I forgot I took pictures on halloween until I turned my camera on today so I thought I would blog about our lame attempt to dress up. All month we were planning on being dog and beth the bounty hunters, which didn't work out. :( We wanted to do something cheap, but still fun! This is what we came up with haha I know I look really creepy.. and don't you think I did a really good job at making Cole look dead? I think it would be so fun to be a professional costume make up artist (I don't know if that is even the correct name for it.)

This is Cole's brother Blake who wanted to be Edward! haha not bad?!

He was trying really hard to look like Edward, but he was struggling..haha it was hilarious! Cole took like a million pictures of him trying to get it perfect.

Well, I know this is SUPER late, but I hope everyone had a fun halloween!

"Bumpits" know no age

Okay so it has been awhile since I have posted anything because I got the blue screen of DEATH on my laptop so I had to post this from Cole's brothers computer! ANYWAYS... so friday I went over to Emily's (my sister) house to watch her kids and help her around the house. I walk in the door and the first thing she says is "Elyse wants you to do her hair. She told me she wanted Bumpits so I bought her some." I thought it was the funniest thing ever! What THREE year old wants bumpits in her hair?!? She obviously has seen too many of these commercials! So I put the Bumpits in her hair, and take a look out how adorable she is! Keep in mind... these pictures are from my phone so they aren't the best.

I thought she actually looked really cute with it in! She felt like a princess :) But of course it only lasted for about an hour. She told me she didn't want Bumpits in anymore because it made her head itch :) It made my day though

Puerto Rico.. to go or not to go..

So.. Cole's brother Blake a few days ago said to us, "Hey! do you guys want to go to Puerto Rico?" My thought was YEAH RIGHT! And then he said that we could all go for $250 each, that includes air fair, hotel, everything! Okay so now I am thinking when can I go?! But I really got to thinking.. is this realistic? I work a part time job, have to pay rent, phone bill, gas, and buy food of course. $250 though?! thats a deal and when will I ever be able to go there again for that cheap?! I keep thinking about it and how awesome it would be to go, and do I really want to pass up this opportunity? I am TORN! Maybe I am thinking about it WAY too much.. I don't know..what do you think I should do?!

P.S. I thought I would show you a picture of a part of Puerto Rico :)

..mY nEw JoB..

I got a job in July working for WIC in Weber County as the Nutrition Educator and can I say that I ABSOLUTELY love it! I am so glad I got this job because it makes me happy! I get to teach classes all day long about infant and child nutrition, breastfeeding, and prenatal nutrition. I get to see little kids and babies all day every day, which I love because they are all so adorable! The only problem is that it is part time, and it would be nice to have some more hours of course and possibly have benefits. I hope that eventually it will work into full time because I don't think I can leave this job!

OuR nEw AdDiTiOn :)

KITTENS!!! We were over at Cole's grandpas and we saw these stray kittens hiding behind a board by his garage. I picked one up and I instantly fell in love! There were 3 of them and we didn't want them to turn wild or end up dying so we decided to take them in. Cole's aunt is taking one of them but wouldn't take two. She wanted me to have two of them so they wouldn't be alone! They are so adorable and I am so excited because I have wanted one for a long time! Now I have two :)

We haven't thought of any names...got any ideas?!

Balloon GLOW

In Eden they have the Balloon festival and on saturday night they have the balloon glow. Cole and I went together right before he left on his mission and we had SO MUCH FUN! It was the coolest thing. This year we really wanted to go because we enjoyed it so much the first time. IT was hard to take some of the pictures because my batteries died so Cole used his phone!

A day at the DAM!

So A couple of weeks ago we went with my sister Megan and her Husband Justin to Pineview. We went up at the crack of dawn so the water was like glass... or ice.. it was freezing! Anyways I tried wake boarding for the VERY first time and I got UP!! ha ha Here is a picture of me trying to wakeboard :)

AND of course Cole is PRO :)

PG-13 in Bear Lake

Okay so I HAD to post this cause its hilarious! We went with a bunch of friends to Bear Lake and stayed in my roommate Carlee's cabin. The day we went to the lake it was a little cold but we still had fun! Cole and this Tyler kid thought they would be funny and strip down to their speedos and go out in the water. Of course I got a picture of it! I am sure it isn't really something you wanted to see but it makes me laugh so hard! Yep.. thats my man in his granny panty speedo and look at those white thighs :) I still think he's hot haha

The City of Brotherly Love :)

I went with Cole and his mom to Philadelphia to visit Cole's mission. We had SO MUCH FUN! We got to visit a bunch of people that Cole taught and baptized. We also got to see all the historic sites, watch fireworks off Penn's Landing, had AMAZING cheesesteaks and Italian water ice, and I definitely had my fair share of walkin' in the ghetto!

Gotta love China town! We had WAY good chinese food there, even though the dead ducks hanging in the window made me a little nervous!

I got a picture of the original Declaration of Independence and the Liberty Bell!

We went to Independence Hall where we went in the room where the Supreme Court was formed and the room where they wrote the Declaration of Independence!

We tried to get a good picture of Penn's Landing but my camera wouldn't take very good pictures at night haha so this is all I've got!

They had giant game pieces all over so we had to get some pics with them!

We had a lot of fun playin' around on this giant water fountain.

Here we are at the Philadelphia Art Museum with the famous Rocky steps! Cole had to do the run for us so we could get a picture ha ha

Gotta get a picture under the LOVE sign :)

On South Street where everyone hangs out there were a few buildings that have these cool walls that are decorated with glass and pottery pieces. They were created by this art gallery. They have an exhibit with recycled items built into walls that looked awesome! Cole and his mom are posing in the picture with the wall :)

Original cabins of where soldiers and captains stayed in Valley Forge. I love history so it was really fun to see all of this!

These guys showed us what the typical uniforms looked like and demonstrated how they loaded and shot their guns. It was pretty cool!

This was a monument for those who fought and lived at Valley Forge.

We got to go inside the house that George Washington lived in and this is a picture of the room they said he slept in.

They have some estates in Valley Forge that people live in which I thought this house was amazing!

I just loved this little bridge so we had Cole's mom take a picture of us sitting by it!

We were able to go see the battlefields at Valley Forge. Here Cole posing with the cannons ha ha

P.S. Sorry some of the pictures aren't turned right. For some reason they changed and I couldn't fix them! :(
